Six New Things

Check six ministry resources in this weekly post.

StoryCorps provides great questions to support story sharing in community.   Their newest book, Callings (Penguin) by Dave Isay, models conversations about vocation.  Storycorps also offers short videos.

Immigration and the refugee crisis; xenophobia and racial justice; inequality and economic justice:  ON Scripture-The Bible has curated their most compelling pieces into four-week topical series for small groups.  The Select Series includes videos, commentaries, and engagement guides that enable hard discussions in the context of faith.

Interviewed in Faith & Leadership, Grace Ji-Sun Kim calls for recovery of the Spirit to open us to interfaith dialogue, reconciliation, and social justice.  Kim’s most recent book is Embracing the Other: The Transformative Spirit of Love (Eerdmans).

GodVenture suggests fun family faith activities for summer.

In Beyond Church Walls (Fortress), Rick Rouse explores new ways for missional churches to offer pastoral care for the whole community.

Fast Track is a 24-week adaptation of the original Disciple Bible Study.  Covenant is another 24-week video-based Bible study option.
