In Crafting Gratitude (Viva), Maggie Oman Shannon presents forty projects to make thanksgiving a spiritual practice in daily life.  Shannon is the author of Crafting Calm:  Projects and Practices for Creativity and Contemplation (Viva, 2013).

Brian D. McLaren’s Seeking Aliveness:  Daily Reflections on a New Way to Experience and Practice the Christian Faith (FaithWords) is a 52-week devotional based his multiuse We Make the Road by Walking (Jericho, 2014).  Seeking Aliveness is also a four-session video curriculum from The Work of the People.  McLaren offers podcasts on the Bible in MP3 format.

Exploring several mainline congregations, a second edition of Strength for the Journey (Church) by Diana Butler Bass includes a foreword by Carol Howard Merritt and a new introduction and afterword by Bass.  Hear her on The Distillery and The Bible for Normal People.  Grateful (HarperOne) will appear in April.
