Bible Basics Storybook (Abingdon) by Brittany Sky accompanies the Bible Story Basics curriculum for ages 3-12.

Sparks of Wonder (Skinner House) by Rebecca Brooks and Erika Hewitt provides resources for theme-based ministry for the whole congregation, including services, readings, songs, spiritual practices, reflection questions, and ideas for engaging at home, all related to five themes: Humility, Journey, Chaos, Power, and God.  Hewitt is the author of The Shared Pulpit: A Sermon Seminar for Lay People (Skinner House, 2014) and Story, Song and Spirit:  Fun and Creative Worship Services for All Ages (Skinner House, 2010).

College Chaplain Alice Connor introduces How to Human:  An Incomplete Manual for Living in a Messed-Up World (Fortress), joining her Fierce:  Women of the Bible and Their Stories of Violence, Mercy, Bravery, Wisdom, Sex, and Salvation (Fortress, 2017).

Among the Many (Paraclete) is a DVD for those who have lost a loved one to drug addiction.  Marilyn E. Gootman’s When a Friend Dies:  A Book for Teens About Grieving & Healing (Free Spirit) has been updated.  Gootman recommends Caring for Kids After Trauma, Disaster, and Death, free online from the New York University Child Study Center.

Wellness resources from Living Compass include free downloads:  self-assessments; Faith & Wellness books and guides for adults, parents, and teens; and a summer camp curriculum.
